Job summary

Torrey Holistics seeks an experienced field service professional to keep advanced semiconductor tools running at customer sites or the service center. You will perform PMs, repairs, installations, and startups while maintaining precise documentation and customer communication.

Eligible candidates have 6–10 years in semiconductor service, an AS in Electronics or equivalent, and strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills. This role involves 20–30% domestic travel and safety training compliance.

Qualifications

  • Associate of Science in Electronics or equivalent experience.
  • 6–10 years of relevant semiconductor field service experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems and semiconductor/vacuum tech.
  • Excellent customer relations and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform service at customer sites or service center: PMs, repairs, consumable swaps, installations, startups.
  • Independently execute preventive maintenance with precision and completeness.
  • Interpret operation manuals to diagnose tool issues across mechanics, hardware, software, and interfaces.
  • Document all actions using service checklists and generate reports for product movements and onsite work.
  • Own parts logistics: order, expedite, and alert when replacements are needed.
  • Escalate design issues to engineering for resolution; act as customer’s technical point of contact.
  • Provide hands-on support for CMP tool installation phases under supervision.
  • Train and mentor Field Service Technicians I–III and guide field teams.
  • Assist service center operations and support other customer sites as needed.
  • Follow safety policies, complete required training, keep work area safe and compliant.

Job description

Your MissionKeep advanced semiconductor systems running. Partner directly with customers to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and restore equipment performance with minimal downtime. Expect 20–30% domestic travel to customer sites and our service center.What You Will DoPerform service at customer locations or the service center: scheduled PMs, unscheduled repairs, consumable swaps, installations, and start-ups.Independently run preventive maintenance activities with precision and completeness.Interpret operation manuals to pinpoint root causes of tool failures across mechanics, hardware, software, and system interfaces.Use service checklists/protocols and document every action—PM, downtime, issues, and time spent—within customers’ systems, producing reports that justify product movements and onsite work.Own parts logistics: order, expedite, and alert customers/management when product replacement is required.Escalate design-related issues to engineering and management for resolution; be the customer’s technical point of contact.Provide hands-on support for phase-one CMP tool installation (dock, level, interconnect) under supervision to prepare for safe power-on.Deliver technical guidance to field technicians and field service engineers; train and mentor Field Service Technicians I–III.Assist with service center operations and support other customer sites when needed.Compliance and SafetyComplete Finesse training to ensure accurate parts usage tracking and transactions.Follow EBARA and customer safety policies; complete all required safety training.Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsAssociate of Science in Electronics, an accredited basic electronics program, or equivalent experience.Preferred: 6–10 years of relevant experience, preferably within semiconductor manufacturing.Working proficiency in mechanical systems and an understanding of semiconductor and/or vacuum technology.Strong customer relations and communication skills.
