Job summary

Veterans Prime, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer – Electromechanical to support CNC machinery in Detroit, MI. This hands-on role requires diagnosing and repairing electromechanical systems, with on-site training and close collaboration with customers.

You will travel regionally, documenting diagnostics, parts, and resolutions, while growing technical expertise and contributing to critical infrastructure uptime. Compensation reflects experience and includes benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a 2-year technical degree (mechanical, electrical or machine tool technology) or equivalent military technical experience.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment; PLCs a plus.
• Ability to read engineering drawings/schematics and use diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, software, and hydraulic/pneumatic issues on CNC machinery.
• Install and test post-installation to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Train on-site customer operators on machine function, maintenance, and safety.
• Document service activity, diagnostics, parts and resolutions.
• Manage a regional travel schedule with overnight stays to support customer sites.
