Job summary

Veterans Prime, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Engineer – Electromechanical based in Sioux Falls, SD. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and supporting CNC machinery and related electromechanical systems, with on-site customer interaction.

You will train operators, log diagnostics, and manage a regional travel schedule with occasional overnight stays, while leveraging PLC and diagnostic-tool proficiency to maintain equipment reliability.

Qualifications

• Must hold a 2-year technical degree or military technical experience in mechanical/electrical fields.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot industrial equipment; PLC experience a plus.
• Ability to read engineering drawings/schematics and use diagnostic tools.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, software, and hydraulic/pneumatic issues on CNC machinery.
• Install and test post-installation performance to ensure optimal operation.
• Train customer operators on machine function, maintenance, and safety.
• Document service activity, diagnostics, parts, and resolutions accurately.
• Travel regionally with overnight stays to support customer sites.
