Job summary

Veterans Prime, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Field Service Engineer – Electromechanical to troubleshoot, repair, test, and train on CNC machinery. This hands-on role requires independent work from a home base with regional travel and overnight stays.

A two-year technical degree or equivalent military experience is preferred, with PLC exposure considered a plus. The compensation ranges from $80,000 to $120,000 per year plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or equivalent military technical experience.
• Experience troubleshooting industrial equipment; PLC knowledge is a plus.
• Ability to read schematics; proficient with diagnostic tools.
• Strong problem-solving, interpersonal and communication skills; able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot & Repair: diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, software, and hydraulic/pneumatic issues on CNC machinery.
• Install & Test: perform post-installation testing to ensure optimal machine performance.
• Train & Educate: conduct on-site training for customer operators on machine function, maintenance and safety.
• Document: accurately log service activity, diagnostics, parts, and resolutions.
• Travel: manage a regional travel schedule with regular overnight stays to support customer sites.
