Job summary

JWF Industries, Inc. is seeking an Electromechanical Engineer Intern for Summer 2027 to support the Engineering Department in design, testing, and continuous improvement of electromechanical systems.

You will gain hands-on experience with CAD tools, manufacturing processes, and product development while collaborating with manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams to meet production objectives. Must be a freshman in college pursuing a degree in EM, ME, EE, Mechatronics, or a related field,

Qualifications

• Must have completed freshman year in college and be pursuing a degree in Electromechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related engineering field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with CAD software is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design and development of electromechanical systems and components.
• Create and update engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation.
• Pull and secure wire to ladder racks and make connections.
• Support testing and validation of products, prototypes, and manufacturing equipment.
• Collect and analyze performance data and prepare reports for engineering review.
• Participate in root cause analysis and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Assist with continuous improvement and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Work with manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams to support production objectives.
• Utilize CAD software and engineering tools to support design activities.
• Follow all safety requirements and engineering standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
