Job summary

EH Wachs (ITW) is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Summer Intern in Lincolnshire, IL. You will contribute to prototype development, testing, and product evaluation while learning engineering processes, data analysis, and technical communication.

You will model parts in SolidWorks, analyze data with Excel, and collaborate with engineers to drive product improvements. Strong communication and time management are essential for success in a hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to learn and apply knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Support prototype development, product testing, and evaluation activities.
• Create and update CAD drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks.
• Support Engineering Change activities to improve product performance.
• Analyze test data using Excel and other tools to identify trends and root causes.
• Create work instructions and technical reports communicating procedures and results clearly.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and support new product development.
