Job summary

VIVA USA Inc. is seeking an Electromechanical Technician / Assembler in Newton, MA to assemble, test, troubleshoot, and document electromechanical systems per specs and procedures.

You will read mechanical drawings and electrical schematics, verify BOMs, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. The role requires experience with hand/power tools, wiring, soldering, testing, 5S/lean practices, and strong attention to quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, electrical schematics, and assembly documentation.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and test equipment.
• Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical principles.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and manufacturing procedures.
• Perform wiring, cable routing, soldering, crimping, connector installation, and electrical integration activities.
• Read and interpret assembly drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Conduct functional testing, calibration, and verification of assembled products.
• Troubleshoot and resolve assembly and test issues using standard diagnostic equipment and procedures.
• Document assembly activities, test results, and nonconformance findings in accordance with quality system requirements.
