Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electro-Optical Systems Engineer Intern in El Segundo, CA to join the Electro-Optical System Design Department. You will help develop advanced EO systems including imagers, LIDAR, and directed energy concepts, contributing to architecture assessments and requirement derivation.

You will support design and build activities, verify and test plans, and collaborate with teammates across IPTs. Candidates are pursuing a STEM degree with hands-on optics exposure, and programming

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or advanced degree in STEM and enrolled through internship.
• Minimum of 30 credit hours by the start of the internship.
• Experience with EO/IR imagery, focal plane tech, lenses, or apertures.

Responsibilities

• Support design of advanced electro-optical systems including imagers and LIDAR.
• Assess system requirements and derive design and performance requirements.
• Contribute to IV&V planning and verification activities.
