Job summary

RTX is seeking an Electro Optical Systems Engineer Intern to support the Advanced Products & Solutions Mission Area, helping build EO systems including imagers, EO tracking, LIDAR, and directed energy. You will help develop requirements and assess architectures as part of a design team.

You will gain hands-on experience through coursework and projects and contribute to verification and test planning to meet program needs, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's or Advanced degree in STEM and enrolled through internship.
• Minimum of 30 credit hours by the internship start.
• Experience with electro-optical infrared imagery, focal plane technology, lenses, or apertures.
• Hands-on optical testing or alignment experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and building advanced electro-optical systems.
• Contribute to system architecture assessment and requirements development.
• Support IV&V planning and verification activities.
