Job summary

Reading Truck Group is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician to maintain a range of complex fabrication equipment, automation, robotics, and control systems. You will contribute to new equipment implementation and process improvements at our Reading, PA facility.

The role requires 2–3 years in maintenance of electro‑mechanical systems, PLCs, robotics, and automated machinery, with strong troubleshooting and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2–3 years of maintenance experience with fabrication and automated equipment.
• Experience in maintenance and troubleshooting of PLC, controls, robotics, automation, and electro‑mechanical systems.
• Proficiency diagnosing and repairing fabrication equipment including lasers, press brakes, and CNC punch presses.
• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices and reliability‑centered maintenance.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills with effective teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and service fabrication equipment including lasers, press brakes, coil lines, and CNC punch presses.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues and implement repairs.
• Support integration of new equipment and technologies with cross‑functional teams.
• Document maintenance activities and contribute to maintenance manuals and procedures.
• Provide emergency unscheduled repairs, overtime or weekend shifts as needed.
