Job summary

Becton Dickinson NA is seeking an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Technician to troubleshoot and diagnose production equipment, ensuring GMP-compliant operations. You will maintain and improve equipment, lead on-the-floor training, and support PLCs, HMI/PanelView, and vision systems on the line.

Strong understanding of electrical, pneumatic circuits and industrial networks is required, with a focus on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree is preferred.
• Ten years of technical experience can substitute for formal education.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues on the production line.
• Maintain and improve production equipment to meet quality standards.
• Provide on-the-floor leadership and training for Technicians and EMTs.
• Support PLCs, HMI/PanelView, and vision systems on production equipment.
• Collaborate with Controls group; review PLC ladder logic with Sr. Controls Designer.
• Understand and optimize networks used in the department (Ethernet, DH485, DH+, Devicenet, Sercos, CIP Motion).
• Support capital projects and CI efforts; perform GMP-compliant tasks.
