Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 at the Hickory, NC location for day shift (7am–7pm), four days on and four days off. You will troubleshoot and perform preventive/predictive maintenance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE) installed at the DEMATIC-MDI site.

The role requires 2–3 years of electro-mechanical troubleshooting, a High School diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred), and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or vocational training preferred.
• 2–3 years troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.
• Proven experience in the area of responsibility and demonstrated capability to perform the listed duties.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, component lubrication, etc.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Create and close work orders into an asset management system with data on labor, maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and assess resources needed to resolve them.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure specifications are met.
• Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
