Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 to support day-to-day troubleshooting and preventive/predictive maintenance of material handling equipment at the Visalia, CA site. The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, and flexible shifts, with overtime as needed.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma (associate degree preferred) and 2–3 years of electro-mechanical experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 2-3 years troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.
• Able to lift and move material up to 50 pounds.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Occasionally, push-and-pull wheeled dollies up to 100 pounds.
• Able to climb ladders and gangways safely.
• Working conditions may include dust, fumes, hot/cold temperatures, noise, vibration, and standing for long hours.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and lubrication.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Create and close work orders into an asset management system with data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and identify resources needed to resolve them.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure specifications are met.
• Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels.
