Mohawk Industries in Thomasville, NC is seeking an Electro Mechanical Technician II for the Cutting and Milling Department to perform reactive and preventive maintenance on precision equipment. The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma or equivalent, with an Associate's degree preferred, and 5+ years in manufacturing maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate's degree preferred.
• 5+ years experience in maintenance of a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience with automated production equipment a plus.
• Experience in installation and maintenance of pumps, bearings, pulleys, belts, gearboxes, bushings.

Responsibilities

• Services, repairs, adjusts and tests various machinery, devices and equipment related to the manufacturing process.
• Utilizes detailed knowledge of production equipment processes and operations to aid in machine troubleshooting and operation support.
• Collaborates on preventative maintenance planning and executes on tasks with limited supervision.
• Identifies warning signs of impending equipment failure to assist with parts ordering.
• Monitors and reacts to maintenance needs, often independently.
• Utilizes various mechanical and electrical test equipment, tools, and necessary paper/digital resources to complete assigned tasks.
• Complies with all company safety rules and procedures. Identifies, advises and implements safety improvements.
• Plans, implements, and documents process improvement measures.
• Attend any job-related training deemed necessary by supervision.
• Follow all established standard operating procedures.
• Perform general housekeeping duties as necessary.
• Perform other tasks assigned by management.
