Idaho National Laboratory is hiring an Electro-Mechanical Technician for the Manufacturing Support team at the ATR facility in Idaho Falls, Idaho. The role involves fabricating, assembling, welding, and testing electro-mechanical devices from drawings and specs, setting up test equipment, analyzing data, and coordinating with engineers to deliver practical solutions while following ISMS guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent plus relevant experience.
• Experience with electrical and instrumentation/control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings/schematics/blueprints.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; able to collaborate with researchers and engineers.

Responsibilities

• Work with drawings, schematics, and work specifications to produce successful outcomes using modern techniques and tools.
• Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of prototypical devices; analyze data and implement changes; install, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment.
• Fabricate, machine, weld, braze, assemble, pot, troubleshoot, and test simple to complex systems.
• Compile and document development/testing processes.
