Job summary

KION Group AG is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 in Fairburn, GA for day-to-day troubleshooting and preventive maintenance on storage systems, conveyors, AGVs, and shuttles. Role includes on-site fault resolution, part supervision, and data-rich work orders.

Must lift up to 50 lb, work 10–12 hour shifts, and flex across shifts. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, 2–3 years of electro-mechanical experience, and proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent experience required.
  • An associate's degree or vocational technical training is advantageous.
  • Niche skill training/certification preferred.
  • 2-3 years of experience in troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment preferred.
  • Proven experience in the area of responsibility and successful demonstration of position and key responsibilities as presented above.
  • Ability to lift and move material up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
  • Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation.
  • Ability to work in diverse conditions: small spaces, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, noise, vibration, standing long hours on concrete, wet or uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
  • Competent in - MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google G-Suite.
  • Flexibility in covering multiple shifts and holiday hours as required.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain Material Handling Equipment (MHE), including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and component lubrication.
  • Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
  • Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
  • Build and close work orders into the asset management system with detailed data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
  • Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and determine the resources needed to resolve them.
  • Locate and supervise spare parts from inventory.
  • Perform routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.
  • Respond to service calls and address equipment failures and faults.
  • Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to tackle them.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.

Job description

The Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 is responsible for the day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on; Storage Retrieval Machines, Automated Guided Vehicles, Automated Mobile Robots, Multi-shuttles, Pallet and Package conveyors. Acts as Operational, Fault Resolution, and material handling technician on all equipment that is installed at the Fairburn, Georgia location. The hours for this position are Wednesday 11am to 5pm , Thursday and Friday 5AM-5PM and every other weekend. Overtime work is required and as needed.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $30.00 to $34.50 an hour at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
