Job summary

Dematic seeks a Mechanical Supervisor to lead installation quality on customer projects across the continental USA, willing to travel up to 100%. You will ensure equipment installation meets Dematic standards, supervise safety audits, and support on-site trials and reporting to the project manager.

Requirements include 10+ years in troubleshooting electromechanical equipment, OSHA-10, and a background with AGVS/AS/RS or conveyors. High school diploma required; an associate degree preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum ten years' experience troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
  • OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure installation quality on the project site, including manufacturing and subcontractor quality.
  • Maintain quality checklists and submit Corrective Actions when discrepancies are identified.
  • Oversee on-site safety, including safety audits.
  • Assist with routine equipment trials to ensure compliance with Dematic standards.
  • Provide on-site reporting on schedule and resources to the project manager and customer.

Job description

Dematic is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor. Be a part of a growing team at Dematic! In this position you will have the opportunity to work on different customer projects and locations.

The employee may be based anywhere in the continental USA; they, however, must be willing to travel 100% to customer locations.

The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $88,000 - $95,000 a year at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.

What you will do in this role:
  • Responsible for installation quality on the project site, including manufacturing and subcontractor quality.
  • Responsible for quality checklists and submittal of Corrective Actions when discrepancies are identified.
  • Responsible for on-site safety, including but not limited to safety audits.
  • Assists with routine equipment trial runs to ensure that it meets specifications and assures that equipment is installed to Dematic standards.
  • Provides on-site reporting on schedule and resources to the project manager and/or customer.
  • Assists with the training of contract labor and subcontractors in the installation of Dematic and other material handling equipment.
  • Writes concise, clear, and complete trip reports in the time frame required according to Dematic procedures.
  • Identifies problems as they occur and suggests appropriate steps to tackle them in situations where the problem is not difficult or sophisticated.
  • Must be able to travel on short notice and spend up to 100% of the time traveling.
  • Should be prepared to be on call and travel as needed.
  • Push, pull, crawl, squat, and walk around large construction sites in various climates and conditions.
What We Are Looking For:
  • Ten years (minimum) experience in troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
  • Service experience with AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is helpful.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Experience with quality assurance.
  • OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
  • Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
  • Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and off shifts – offer OT compensation.
  • Must know the use of personal computers, database functions, and communications.
  • Understanding personal computer hardware setup and software configuration required.
