Job summary

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Electro Mechanical Technician 2 for a full-time weekend-night role in Ripon, Wisconsin. You will troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical and electromechanical systems across PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical components on manufacturing equipment.

The position requires a two-year technical degree, 2–4 years of related maintenance experience, CMMS proficiency, and the ability to work

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of related electromechanical maintenance experience
  • Two-year Associate degree in a related technical field
  • Hands-on electrical troubleshooting and repair experience
  • PLC troubleshooting experience
  • Electronic control circuit troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Hydraulic system troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Pneumatic system troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Industrial electrical power distribution experience
  • Experience with panels, breakers, conduit, motors, and transformers
  • Electrical installation, testing, and repair experience
  • Basic mechanical repair experience
  • CMMS experience
  • Ability to search for parts and manage maintenance work orders using a CMMS
  • Availability to work Friday–Sunday, 4:00 PM–4:00 AM
  • Ability to work fully on-site in Ripon, WI
  • Ability to meet physical requirements including lifting at least 50 pounds

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, test, repair, install and maintain electrical and electromechanical systems for manufacturing equipment
  • Read electrical schematics, blueprints, sketches, and diagrams
  • Troubleshoot machine-control circuits including PLCs and electronic controls
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic circuits
  • Install electrical and electronic controls on machinery
  • Repair, replace and adjust electrical components and wiring
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams and blueprints
  • Work with electrical power distribution, panels, breakers and conduit
  • Install and service wiring and new electrical services
  • Layout, assemble, install, test and adjust electrical fixtures
  • Create and manage maintenance work orders in CMMS
  • Search for replacement parts using computerized systems
  • Perform additional maintenance work as directed by the Group Leader

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is seeking an experienced Electro Mechanical Technician 2 for a full-time weekend-night opportunity in Ripon, Wisconsin. This is a hands‑on industrial maintenance role requiring strong electrical, PLC, electronic controls, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical troubleshooting experience.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Electro Mechanical Technician 2 is responsible for troubleshooting, testing, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical and electromechanical systems used to control manufacturing machinery and equipment. The technician works across electrical power, PLC and electronic controls, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and mechanical components to keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently.

This position requires the ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, sketches, and diagrams; troubleshoot machine-control circuits; install electrical and electronic controls; perform basic mechanical repairs; and use a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for maintenance work orders and parts management.

SCHEDULE
  • Friday–Sunday
  • 4:00 PM–4:00 AM
  • Weekend Night Shift
  • Three 12-Hour Shifts
  • Fully On-Site in Ripon, Wisconsin
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design minor electrical circuits
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical circuits used to control machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot PLC control circuits
  • Troubleshoot electronic control circuits
  • Diagnose and repair hydraulic circuits
  • Diagnose and repair pneumatic circuits
  • Install electrical and electronic controls on machinery and equipment
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
  • Work with electrical power distribution systems
  • Work with water distribution systems
  • Perform basic mechanical repairs
  • Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical components
  • Replace components including brushes and armatures
  • Install and monitor electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement needs
  • Interpret blueprints and work from sketches or verbal instructions
  • Lay out, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures and equipment
  • Install and service wiring and new electrical services
  • Work with electrical panels and breakers
  • Install and repair conduit
  • Mount motors and transformers
  • Install lighting fixtures
  • Complete electrical circuits according to diagram specifications
  • Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits and equipment
  • Use appropriate electrical tools and testing instruments
  • Search for replacement parts using computerized systems
  • Create and manage maintenance work through a CMMS
  • Perform additional maintenance work as directed by the Group Leader

EDUCATION NOTE:

A two-year Associate degree in Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical, Industrial Maintenance, or a closely related technical field is the formal educational requirement. Exceptional candidates without the degree should only be considered for manager review when they bring 4 years of directly comparable hands‑on electrical/PLC/electronic‑controls maintenance experience plus relevant technical or trade credentials.

IMPORTANT:

This is not a general mechanical maintenance position. Candidates must demonstrate hands‑on electrical and controls experience, including PLC and electronic control troubleshooting, along with hydraulic and pneumatic troubleshooting. Strong mechanical experience without the required electrical/controls background does not satisfy the core technical requirements.
