Career Crunch is seeking a hands-on electrical technician in Wisconsin. The role covers designing, testing, and troubleshooting electrical and PLC circuits for machine control, along with hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

You will install controls on equipment, read schematics, and perform basic mechanical repairs. The position requires a two-year associate degree and 2–4 years of experience, plus proficiency with CMMS software and computer tools.

Qualifications

• Two-year Associate degree and 2-4 years work experience required.
• Ability to utilize a computer to search for parts and enter work into a CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Design minor electrical circuits and test/troubleshoot electrical, PLC, and electronic circuits for machine control.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.
• Install electrical and electronic controls on machines by reading schematics/blueprints.
• Knowledge of electrical power and water distribution systems.
• Perform basic mechanical repairs.
• Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective parts.
• Install and monitor performance of electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches or verbal instructions.
• Lay out, assemble, install, test, repair, and adjust electrical fixtures and wiring.

• Standard Work Hours: 1st Shift M-Th 5am-3pm


• Compensation - Hourly Rate: $37.28 to $41.56, commensurate with experience and qualifications


• Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 upon successful hiring

Responsibilities:

• Design minor electrical circuits and to test and troubleshoot electrical, PLC and electronic circuits used for the control of machines and equipment.


• Troubleshoot hydraulic and pneumatic circuits.


• Install electrical and electronic controls on machines and equipment by reading and interpreting schematics or blueprints.


• Must have knowledge of electrical power, and water distribution systems.


• Must perform basic mechanical repairs.


• Must be able to perform the work of the lower-class identifications.


• May direct the work of others in the lower classifications.


• Must dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as brushes and armatures.


• Must install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacement.


• Interpret blueprints, work from sketches or verbal instructions.


• Do lay outs, assembles, installs, tests, repairs, and adjust electrical fixtures, apparatus, equipment, wiring, and new services to include panels, breakers, and conduit.


• Must mount motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures into position and complete circuits according to diagram specifications.


• Do repairs, installs, replaces and test electrical circuits, and equipment using appropriate tools and testing instruments.


• Perform a variety of work as directed by the Group Leader.
