Job summary

Dematic is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Technician Level 3 for the Hickory, NC location. You will perform day-to-day troubleshooting and preventative/predictive maintenance on Material Handling Equipment (MHE), on a 7am–7pm, four days on, four days off schedule.

Responsibilities include repair/maintenance of MHE, preventive maintenance, wiring troubleshooting with test equipment, and creating detailed work orders. Occasional overtime/weekend work may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or vocational training preferred.
• 2–3 years of troubleshooting electro-mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, component lubrication, etc.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines, documentation, and procedures.
• Use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot electrical circuitry.
• Create and close work orders into an asset management system with appropriate data to include labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used.
• Troubleshoot semi-complex problems and understand resources needed to resolve them.
• Locate and track spare parts from inventory.
• Performs routine maintenance and equipment testing to ensure they meet specifications.
• Respond to service calls and correct equipment failures and faults.
• Identify problems as they occur and take appropriate steps to solve them.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
