Job summary

Encoder Products Company in Idaho is seeking a Production Supervisor who will lead a team responsible for order fulfillment, plan daily manufacturing operations, and drive Lean initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery and cost.

The role requires 3+ years of supervisory experience, a 2-year certificate, proficiency with ERP and MS Office, and strong communication and leadership skills. The position is day shift with DOE wages and full benefits.

Qualifications

• 2-year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• 3+ years related supervisory experience and/or training preferred.
• Prior experience as production assembler or lead preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with ERP systems preferred.
• Prior shipping supervision experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and execute daily manufacturing operations for order fulfillment.
• Ensure products conform to specifications and quality requirements.
• Support a safe and compliant work environment by enforcing safety policies.
• Monitor production levels and key performance metrics.
• Utilize ERP to plan, assign, and monitor work based on production requirements.
• Provide strong leadership through coaching and development of employees.
• Interview, hire, coach, and conduct performance appraisals as needed.
• Train or assist in training new employees and engage in career growth conversations.
• Motivate employees to achieve goals and resolve work problems.
• Interpret and enforce company policies with employees.
• Maintain attendance records.
• Recommend Lean Manufacturing initiatives to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
• Report and collaborate with cross functional teams on setups and adjustments of machines, tooling, or equipment.
• Coordinate activities with other supervisors/managers to align across teams.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
• Backfill as an assembler and Line Lead as needed.
• Other production supervisory duties as needed.
