Job summary

Encoder Products Company is seeking a Production Lead to oversee the production process for designated product lines, ensuring compliance with specifications, quality requirements, and on-time delivery.

You will organize workers to meet schedules, enforce procedures, monitor safety, and drive continuous improvements in quality, speed, and cost while maintaining PPE standards.

The position is full-time with benefits, day shift, and a starting entry rate of $18.50/hour, DOE, in Northern Kentucky.

Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and email.
  • Ability to organize, plan and lead teams to meet schedules.

Responsibilities

Description

A Production Lead oversees the production process for specific product lines. They ensure that the product is produced in accordance with all specifications, quality requirements, and in a timely manner to meet delivery schedules.

Responsibilities:
  • Organize workers to meet delivery schedule
  • Instruct and enforce that work procedures are followed
  • Ensure product specifications are met
  • Meet quality assurance standards and requirements
  • Instruct how to use tools and equipment
  • Identify ways to improve quality or speed of production
  • Identify ways to reduce costs to build product

  • Instruct on the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Monitor safety activities of workers
  • Report safety incidents

Qualifications:
  • Prior experience in manufacturing assembly, serving as a lead, or performing other leadership responsibilities (preferred)

Job Detail:
  • Full time with benefits

  • Entry rate $18.50/hr or DOE
Essential Functions:
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (when required)
  • Sitting for long periods of time
  • Use of upper body, arms, and hands throughout the day
  • Lifting 10-20 pounds repeatedly throughout the day
  • Bending, stooping, and reaching overhead throughout the day to reach materials to move or pickup
  • Normal color vision (due to different colored wires)
  • Able to work regularly with epoxy, glues, sealants
