Job summary

Encoder Products Company in Idaho is seeking a Buyer to support manufacturing operations. You will purchase materials and components from approved suppliers, maintaining inventory levels and using ERP/MRP systems to issue purchase orders.

This full-time onsite role operates Monday–Friday, 7:00AM–3:30PM, with salary DOE and comprehensive benefits. Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in purchasing or related manufacturing, strong Excel skills, and the ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years purchasing, material, inventory supply-chain or related manufacturing preferred experience in an MRP environment

Responsibilities

• Identify and communicate supply chain risks, including supplier capacity, lead times, availability and continuity of supply
• Build long-term, collaborative relationships with preferred suppliers
• Procure customized items
• Evaluate supplier quotes and services
• Prepare, issue, and maintain purchase orders for timely delivery
• Execute inventory replenishment requests
• Monitor open purchase orders and address past-due shortages
• Assist in reconciliation of receiving/invoicing discrepancies
• Coordinate return of non-conforming material
• Maintain procurement records including ERP/MRP data
