Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Lexington, NC is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Production Engineer to help bring passenger coach designs to life by partnering with Production and Electrical Engineering teams to ensure builds meet Siemens and customer standards.

You will support production engineering activities, interpret schematics and CAD data, implement design changes, troubleshoot during production and testing, and collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to improve quality, reliability,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electro-mechanical, or mechatronics engineering and 1+ year of applicable experience.
Associate degree with 5+ years of similar experience may substitute.
Experience reading schematics and mechanical drawings.
Ability to interpret schematics and CAD data and work in fast-paced manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Support production engineering activities for Passenger Coach rail vehicles.
Interpret and maintain engineering data, including schematics, BOMs, CAD data, and drawings.
Implement engineering changes based on production feedback and customer needs.
Troubleshoot electrical and electro-mechanical issues during production and testing.
Review harness and equipment integration designs for manufacturability and compliance.
Collaborate with production, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to improve quality and build efficiency.
