Job summary

Siemens Mobility in Lexington, NC seeks a Systems Engineer – HVAC, Doors, Couplers to act as the on-site technical expert responsible for the integration of critical passenger rail vehicle systems. You will work with engineering architects, production teams, suppliers, and global colleagues to ensure HVAC, doors, and related subsystems meet the highest standards.

Responsibilities include leading on-site design and integration tasks, supporting manufacturing and testing, and guiding

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with strong design/analysis background.
• Experience designing or integrating complex electromechanical systems.
• Experience with manufacturing environments and problem solving on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the on-site systems engineering expert for HVAC, doors, couplers, and gangways throughout vehicle production.
• Support manufacturing, commissioning, and testing while troubleshooting complex integration challenges.
• Interpret system requirements and ensure interfaces are integrated across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
