Job summary

Curtiss-Wright DS, Inc. is seeking a Material/Production Planner in Portland, OR to plan, schedule, coordinate, and monitor production through the full cycle based on customer priorities and specs.

You will work with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Materials to ensure timely material provisioning and capacity alignment. Ideal candidates have a relevant degree, 4–6 years of experience, APICS training, strong communication, and SAP/ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 4–6 years of planning experience in electro-mechanical environments.
• APICS training or certification strongly preferred.
• Materials management experience.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP.
• Proficient with MS Office tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and manage various project duties.
• Must possess and maintain a current, valid driver license.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed schedules, production plans, and material requirements lists in accordance with the Master Production Schedule for products and processes.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Material Control, Quality, and other departments to meet production schedules and optimize resources.
• Provide input to management on scheduling problems, material shortages, design changes, and backlogs.
• Work with ERP systems, including SAP, to manage materials and scheduling supporting the production process.
• Work closely with Production Supervisors and Materials teams to resolve material and scheduling issues.
• Other job duties as assigned.
