Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking an Extrusion Maintenance Technician II for first shift to support manufacturing operations at our Dallas area facility. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing and maintaining electro-mechanical equipment and electrical controls to keep line performance high.

You will work with requiring safety adherence, training of Level I Technicians, and standby/overtime as needed. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, PTO and 401(k) plans from day one.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of and experience with Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
• Able to strictly adhere to safety policies/procedures and be committed to customer quality.
• Must be available for regular standby assignments; work scheduled off-hours and emergency overtime.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Ability to assist in Training Level I Technicians.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electromechanical problems with manufacturing equipment.
• Perform detailed setup on equipment, including recipe changes and control adjustments.
• Repair and keep mechanical machine components in top operating condition.
• Perform simple to complex mechanical preventive maintenance tasks following instructions.
• Intermediate understanding of electrical principles such as voltage, current, and resistance; diagnose and repair electrical control circuits, field devices, sensors, photo eyes, etc.
• Troubleshoot the inputs and outputs on PLC and repair issues.
