Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands in Auburn, WA is seeking a Maintenance Technician II to support manufacturing operations with electro‑mechanical expertise. You will diagnose complex problems, perform setup changes, and repair mechanical components to keep equipment running at peak efficiency.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in manufacturing, familiarity with lock-out/tag-out procedures, and the ability to read blueprints. Overtime and travel for training may be needed.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in related field preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Lock-Out, Tag-Out procedures.
• Adhere to safety policies and focus on quality.
• Regular standby assignments with overtime as required.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Willing to attend training, including out-of-state locations.
• Able to train Level I Technicians.
• Intermediate knowledge of fabrication (e.g., welding, basic machining).
• Able to read printed materials, blueprints, schematics, and computer graphics.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team, with good relationships with colleagues, vendors, and suppliers.
• Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility for overtime.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical problems on manufacturing equipment.
• Perform detailed setup on equipment including recipe changes and control adjustments.
• Repair and maintain mechanical machine components to keep equipment running.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks per instructions, from simple to complex.
• Understand electrical principles and diagnose electrical circuits and drives.
• Troubleshoot PLC inputs/outputs and repair issues.
• Complete projects adding electrical circuits, controls, and relocating machines.
• Enter all work completed in the CMMS or maintenance program.
