Job summary

Knauf Insulation seeks an Electro-Mechanical Technician to maintain A/C and D/C motor control equipment, install conduit, wiring, and PLC-based control systems. The role requires keeping up with ladder logic and instrumentation diagrams while ensuring safe, efficient operation.

You will perform both preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshoot issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a heavy industrial setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must obtain and maintain OSHA Certified Powered Industrial Vehicle license.
• Five years of maintenance experience with mechanical equipment in a heavy industrial setting.
• Excellent attendance history and commitment to consistent presence.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems (motors, conveyors, PLCs, hydraulic and pneumatic systems).
• Diagnose issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to restore equipment.
• Execute preventive maintenance to reduce breakdowns and ensure functionality.
• Safely work with electrical systems, read and interpret schematics, and adhere to safety regulations.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities, spare parts, and equipment history.
• Collaborate with production to address maintenance needs and support improvements.
• Be available for on-call and emergency maintenance requests.
