Qualifications

  • Experience creating hardware drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation using CAD tools.
  • Knowledge of electronic housings, cables, circuit card assemblies, wire harnesses.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • US Citizen; able to obtain DoD security clearance.

What You Will Be Doing

The Associate Electromechanical Design Engineer will support the hardware development for military electronics housed within flight-worthy assemblies. Activities will require cross-functional coordination to complete hardware design efforts and support integration efforts for the designated electronic system. Responsibilities may include:

  • Creating detailed mechanical layouts, 3D models, and engineering drawings using CREO or equivalent CAD software

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science degree (or currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related STEM field from an accredited university
  • Experience with CREO, Catia, or similar 3D modeling software
  • Experience with creating hardware drawings, drawing instructions, assembly instructions, Bills of Material (BOMs), and/ or technical documentation using CAD tools
  • Knowledge and desire to work on electronic hardware. This may include working with: electronic housings, cables, circuit card assemblies, wire harnesses, etc.
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Must be a US Citizen; must be able to obtain a DoD security clearance
Desired Skills
  • Previous internship experience
  • Ability to engage with mechanical drawing standards and experience with detail, assembly, and installation type 2D drawings
  • Experience using CREO and/or Zuken
  • Knowledge of electronics manufacturing and/or manufacturing processes
  • Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Experience with design for manufacturability (DFM) and design for testability (DFT) principles
  • Experience with Windchill Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Agile PLM, or similar tools
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations such as IPC, IEEE, VITA, and MIL-STD
  • Experience with machine design, mechanical components, and machine shops
  • Experience with electrical schematic interpretation
  • Experience with hardware integration, working with cables/harness/wiring
Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $58200.00 - $108200.00
