Job summary

Search Leaders is seeking an experienced electro-mechanical engineer to drive product development from concept through production launch and ongoing improvement. The role blends hands-on R&D with systems-level engineering, integrating mechanical, electrical, sensing, and connected technologies into production-ready solutions.

The position requires 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing setting, strong problem-solving, and proficiency with 3D CAD, BOMs, and design documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Electro-Mechanical, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience developing electro-mechanical products in manufacturing environments.
• Experience integrating mechanical with electrical components and embedded systems.
• Experience with 3D CAD, drawings, BOMs, prototyping, testing, and design documentation.
• Familiarity with project-management tools and Stage-Gate processes.

Responsibilities

• Drive electro-mechanical product development from concept to production launch and continuous improvement.
• Integrate mechanical designs with sensors, motors, actuators, controls, and embedded devices.
• Develop mechanical designs, drawings, BOMs, and schematics.
• Plan prototype builds, bench testing, verification, validation, and field trials.
• Collaborate across R&D, product management, manufacturing, sales, and suppliers.
• Support design reviews, risk assessments, and production-readiness activities.
• Research emerging technologies in automation, sensing, and connected products.
