Job summary

Ports America seeks an Electro‑Mechanical Crane Manager to lead the Crane Maintenance Department, ensuring safe, reliable crane operations and compliant maintenance programs at the Baltimore facility.

You will oversee electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, manage budgets, and mentor staff while coordinating with procurement and planning to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (experience may substitute).
• Experience with electronic, hydraulic, and/or mechanical equipment.
• Experience with PLC logic.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance and repair of all site cranes and supporting equipment (electrical, electronic, mechanical).
• Ensure electro‑mechanical maintenance and repair is timely and cost‑effective; prioritize quality and longevity.
• Monitor warranties and file warranty claims; coordinate with planning for maintenance scheduling.
• Provide supervision, direction, and feedback to crane maintenance staff; organize daily work schedule.
• Adhere to labor contract requirements regarding union personnel and manage department budget.
• Assist Engineering Director with special projects and provide accurate reports to management.
