Job summary

Maryland Port Administration is seeking an Electro-Mechanical Crane Technician III for the Crane and Fleet Division at the Dundalk Marine Terminal. The role focuses on maintaining, inspecting, and repairing container, portal, and whirley cranes and related electrical/electronic components.

You will troubleshoot issues, perform preventative maintenance, and lead a crew of technicians. Required four years of crane maintenance experience, a Class A CDL with HazMat endorsements, and TWIC.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Four years of experience maintaining, inspecting and repairing container, whirley and portal cranes.
  • Ability to supervise a crew of technicians and coordinate crane operations.
  • Valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform startup and shutdown of all cranes and bridge equipment.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on cranes and related components.
  • Inspect mechanical and electrical systems of cranes and Passenger Boarding Bridge.
  • Provide emergency repairs to minimize downtime while crane is in operation.
  • Oversee lower-level technicians and ensure safe, efficient crane operations.
