Job summary

Innomotics in New Kensington, PA, seeks an Assembly Technician (2nd Shift) to complete mechanical and electrical assemblies using hand tools and pneumatic/electronic tooling. Reports to the Production Supervisor.

The role requires a high school diploma, basic tool proficiency, and the ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs. Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work at height with a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient use of basic hand and power tools required.
• Ability to perform responsibilities from engineering drawings, wiring schematics and bills of materials.
• Ability to climb to different heights and work at heights above waist level.
• Occasional heavy lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
• Good written and oral communication skills required.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Wire and assemble drives, sub-assemblies and components per engineering drawings and BOMs using hand and power tools.
• Assemble mechanical and electrical sub-assemblies in a team environment.
• Lift and position products using overhead crane and material handling devices.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area following 5S and safety policies.
• Follow ISO workmanship procedures and quality requirements.
• Work with QA to meet internal and external customer expectations.
• Identify discrepancies and report issues to appropriate personnel.
• Participate in Lean continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist less experienced associates.
• Work overtime as required.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
