Job summary

Innomotics in New Kensington, PA, seeks an Assembly Technician (1st Shift) to perform mechanical and electrical assemblies using hand tools, BOMs, and schematics under supervision. The role reports to the Production Supervisor.

The job requires pursuing safety, quality, and lean initiatives, with overtime as needed. Starting pay is $22.81/hour with a second shift differential; upskilling and career growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Proficient use of basic hand and power tools required.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, wiring schematics and bills of materials.
• Ability to climb to different heights and work at heights above waist level.
• Occasional heavy lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
• Good written and oral communication skills required.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Wire and assemble drives, sub-assemblies and components per drawings and BOMs.
• Use hand and power tools to assemble parts in a team environment.
• Lift and position products using overhead crane and other handling devices.
• Maintain clean and safe work area following 5S and safety regulations.
• Adhere to ISO workmanship procedures and QA requirements.
• Identify discrepancies and communicate with supervisors or QA.
