Job summary

AptarGroup, Inc. is seeking an Assembly Mechanic I for the 2nd shift to maintain electrical and electro-mechanical production machinery and ensure it runs within specifications. You may be asked to assist with machine setup and troubleshooting under supervision.

Responsibilities include operating and inspecting machines, changeovers, maintaining parts, and documenting maintenance in SAP/TMP. Candidates should have a HS diploma or GED and basic troubleshooting, reading gauges, and English

Qualifications

• Education: HS Degree or GED preferred.
• Must have basic troubleshooting and electrical sensor replacement experience.
• Certified Operator I and possess a clear understanding of running a machine for setup.
• Must have mechanical skills/aptitude.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds occasionally throughout the shift, one to two times every four hours.
• Must be able to stand, walk, lift, bend and stoop continuously throughout the shift.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English to communicate about quality and production issues.
• Must be able to read various inspection gauges.
• Must possess basic math and PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs functions of Operator and/or Material Handler.
• Runs and inspects machines in his/her production area and assists with minor troubleshooting under Assembly Mechanic II direction.
• Assists with parts and tooling change overs.
• Opens work orders and issues parts.
• Cleans, inspects and lubricates high speed equipment.
• Rebuilds machine/mechanical components.
• Performs restorative maintenance.
• Creates maintenance records in SAP/TMP.
• Responsible for product safety and the quality of goods produced.
• Assists Assembly Mechanic II with preventative maintenance.
• Prints and interprets production schedules.
• Assists team lead and may fill in as necessary.
• Completes and emails production log as required.
