Job summary

MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking an Assembler 2 to join our Production team in the Optical Filters Business Unit. You will partner with Operations to execute intermediate and finishing assembly processes, reporting to the Production Manager.

The role emphasizes precise set-ups, tolerances to blueprints, and testing per SOPs. Responsibilities include wiring, component installation, soldering, and cable harnessing, with emphasis on manual dexterity and steady performance under safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related experience required.
• Requires production experience with vocational instruction in electro-mechanical assembly, reading, writing, and arithmetic skills, ability to work from established drawings, and experience in soldering, wire-wrapping and cable harnessing.

Responsibilities

• Performing a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical assembly operations on assemblies or sub-assemblies.
• Determining and/or following methods and sequence of operations in performing wiring, component installation, hand soldering and cable harnessing on assembly units.
• Making set-ups and adjustments holding tolerances to blueprint specifications.
• Testing equipment and products per standard operating procedures.
• Cleaning optical components, inspecting surface quality and performing dimensional analysis per customer specifications.
