Job Description:

Position: Assembler, Electro-Mechanical II
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
Reports To: Assembly Leader
Company Overview:

Alpine Laser LLC specializes in laser processing solutions, providing state-of-the-art equipment and development support for precise and efficient results.

Responsibilities:
  • Build mechanical and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Build and install tooling and fixturing.
  • Integrate pre-built control panels into workstations and connect system hardware.
  • Route and terminate pneumatic lines and electrical wires and cables.
  • Label meticulously.
  • Read schematics, manufacturing documents, BOMs, and maintain records.
  • Follow product drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions accurately.
  • Adhere to Good Manufacturing and Documentation Practices.
  • Verify document revisions before use.
  • Follow quality assurance, safety, and cleanliness policies.
Tasks:
  • 2-4 years of relevant electromechanical assembly experience.
  • Deep understanding of product drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Work independently to troubleshoot assembly issues.
  • Maintain high quality and safety standards.
  • Complete and update training forms.
  • Perform complex assembly tasks and work on higher-level products.
  • Understand company's products including mechanical, electrical, and software components.
  • Independently troubleshoot and repair equipment, identifying root causes.
  • Lead equipment installation, upgrades, and customer training.
  • Complete complex field upgrades and modifications.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians.
  • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to resolve issues.
  • Create preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair documentation.
  • Maintain detailed service records and reports.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and provide feedback.
  • Proactively support customers with value-added solutions.
  • Support ad-hoc projects like customer FATs.
Qualifications:

2-4 years of related experience or equivalent education/training. Skills include reading and operating oscilloscopes, soldering tools, meters, and good communication. Able to understand regulations and instructions in English.

Skills:

Ability to read technical documents, write reports, and speak effectively. Basic math skills.

Reasoning:

Apply common sense to follow instructions and solve problems involving multiple variables.

Physical Demands:

Regularly stand, walk, sit, handle objects, reach, and communicate. Occasionally lift up to 40 pounds and perform stooping or kneeling.

Work Environment:

Moderate noise, occasional exposure to moving parts and electrical shock, near mechanical equipment.

Additional Information:

Up to 25% travel, including international.
