Job summary

AMETek, Inc. in Waterbury, CT seeks an assembler to build electro-mechanical products from procedures and drawings.

You will assemble sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and after assemblies, ensuring conformance to specifications while maintaining safety and quality. You will work from engineering prints, process sheets and BOMs, perform measurements with calipers and micrometers, and cross-train across assembly areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus 1–3 years in manufacturing or training.
• Versatility to perform various assembly and soldering operations.
• Good dexterity to manipulate small parts and read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Assemble electro-mechanical components as required.
• Handle parts during operation and ensure quality standards.
• Read drawings, blueprints, sketches or work orders to perform tasks.
• Prepare finished work for shipment or storage per instructions.
• Maintain area cleanliness and follow safety regulations.
• Cross-train in other assembly areas and perform related duties.
