Job summary

AMETEK, Inc. is seeking an Assembly Technician to perform mechanical or electro-mechanical sub-assembly work under verbal directions and established procedures.

The role involves wire bonding, soldering, spot welding, and assembling units with precision on a bench, often under a microscope. Successful candidates will have 2+ years of experience, basic computer skills, and the ability to work in a team, follow safety rules, and rotate to different stations as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years experience in assembly preferred.
• Soldering experience or certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical or electro-mechanical sub-assemblies under instructions.
• Wire bonding, soldering, spot welding, or epoxying per procedures.
• Operate microscopes and ultrasonic welding equipment.
• Attach components to PC boards and perform oil fill operations.
• Conduct tests on finished units and life testing programs.
• Maintain clean, safe work area and follow safety regulations.
• Assist training of coworkers when needed.
• May rotate to other stations as required.
