Job summary

AMETEK Process Instruments in Pittsburgh, PA seeks a mechanical assembler to join our team. You will assemble, modify, wire solder, and adjust instrument assemblies and subassemblies, sometimes with incomplete documentation, following method sheets.

The role requires reading blueprints, using hand tools, testing with instrumentation, lifting up to 65 pounds, and overtime as needed. This is an hourly, on-site position with opportunities to contribute to production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated computer experience and soldering ability.
• Able to lift up to 65 pounds and use hand tools.
• Able to read blueprints and perform tube bending.
• Must test and demonstrate finished product testing with instrumentation.
• Overtime required, both scheduled and unscheduled.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, modify, wire solder, and adjust instrument assemblies/subassemblies.
• Follow method sheets and material handling procedures to prevent shortages.
• Perform quality inspections and pull customer spare parts orders to meet ship dates.
• Assemble kit assemblies and package/shipment of customer orders.
• Occasionally perform other duties as required.
