Job summary

Jobot is seeking a maintenance technician in Vernon, CA to troubleshoot, repair and perform preventive maintenance on production machines and plant facilities in a food processing environment.

You will diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on machinery such as meat grinders, band saws, vacuum pack machines, lifts, and pallet jacks, ensuring safety and reliability while following all policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of production machines, plant facilities and for the proper preventative maintenance of the plant and production equipment assigned.
• Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning production and plant equipment (Meat grinders, Meat dicers, Band saw, Vacuum pack machines, Vacuum tumblers, Scissor lift, Fork lifts, etc.).
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment and lubricate equipment on a scheduled basis.

Job Details

• Responsible for troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of production machines, plant facilities and for the proper preventative maintenance of the plant and production equipment assigned. (i.e., Policies, procedures, etc. for which you are responsible.)
• Installs, repairs, and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation. Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
• Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
• Diagnose and repair malfunctioning production and plant equipment (Type of Machinery: Meat grinders, Meat flaker, Meat dicers, Band saw ,Vacuum pack machines, Vacuum tumblers, Scissor lift, Pallet jack, Fork lifts, Floor scrubber, Floor scales, Pressure washer)
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on production equipment
• Lubricate equipment on a scheduled basis
• Replace broken belts, bearings and motors on equipment as necessary
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems and controls for production equipment and throughout plant
