Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Testing and Validation Engineer for the Tucson Proving Ground in Green Valley, AZ. You will support electrification testing, develop procedures, and lead validation activities for stationary and mobile charging infrastructure.

You will collaborate with engineers, technicians, and software teams to ensure safety, quality, and robust data-driven decisions across projects, with opportunities for mentoring and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Drive safety and quality by reviewing and creating job procedures for system testing, installation, and maintenance.
• Plan and execute testing and development for current and next generation charging solutions.
• Collaborate with on-site engineers, technicians, and operators to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Use tools like Excel, Tableau, DATK, CANape to turn raw data into actionable insights.
• Troubleshoot and validate electrical, electronic, and software systems.
• Develop test plans and validate results with cross-functional teams.
• Mentor interns and help train team members.
