Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Energy and Power Discipline Leader within the Infrastructure Services Group to drive electrification, renewable energy, microgrids and EV infrastructure for federal, state, municipal and commercial clients.

The role blends leadership and hands‑on delivery: leading analysis, financial modeling, and program development; mentoring technical staff; collaborating across practices; and communicating complex concepts to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering and a PE license.
• 12 years of related experience; equivalent experience considered.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct analysis, evaluation, and design approaches for electrification and EV infrastructure.
• Provide electrification and renewable energy advisory and design support nationwide.
• Educate internal leaders on policies, funding opportunities, and market trends.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative analysis, including financial modeling and cost-benefit evaluations.
• Champion R&D initiatives related to green electrification and renewable energy.
• Lead cross-functional teams and mentor technical staff on complex projects.
