Job summary

CDM Smith's Infrastructure Services Group seeks an Energy and Power Discipline Leader to support growth in energy and power offerings, focusing on electrification, EV fleets, charging infrastructure, distributed energy resources, microgrids, and battery tech.

You will work with federal, state and local clients to define opportunities, develop concepts and strategy, and implement electrification into grid operations while mentoring staff and collaborating across practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is required.
• Travel may be domestic and/or international depending on duties.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of analysis, design, and processes for electric vehicle fleet adoption.
• Provide electrification and renewable energy advisory to clients nationwide.
• Educate internal leaders on new policies and funding opportunities.
• Lead financial modeling, cost-benefit analyses, and incentives evaluation.
• Champion R&D in green electrification and renewable energy.
• Lead cross-functional teams on complex strategic initiatives.
• Sell and deliver client services while guiding mobility strategy.
• Collaborate across the firm to advance this discipline.
• Mentor technical staff and engage with researchers and clients.
• Lead webinars and technical sessions to promote goals.
• Support TGAs related to power for data centers and decarbonization.
