Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Energy and Power Discipline Leader to drive electrification and renewable energy initiatives for federal, state, and local clients. The role focuses on concepts, strategy, and implementation of EV fleets, microgrids, and modern grid resilience across multiple markets.

You will lead analyses, financial modeling, and program development while mentoring staff and collaborating with partners. Travel is required; PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related discipline and PE license.
  • 12 years of related energy and power experience; travel may be required.
  • Equivalent related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and direct analysis, evaluation, design, and development for electrification and EV fleet adoption.
  • Provide advisory and design support on electrification and renewable energy to clients nationwide.
  • Educate internal leaders on new policies and funding opportunities for electrification.
  • Perform qualitative and quantitative analyses including financial modeling and cost-benefit analyses.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in complex strategic efforts within the mobility space.
  • Mentor technical staff and collaborate with researchers, vendors, and clients.
  • Lead webinars and promote disciplined goals and initiatives.
  • Support TGAs related to power for data centers, clean energy, decarbonization.
