Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Energy and Power Discipline Leader to grow our energy and power service offerings. You will lead electrification integration, distributed energy resources, microgrids, and EV infrastructure for federal, state, municipal, transit, school, and commercial clients nationwide.

The role emphasizes thought leadership, client-facing strategy, and collaboration across practices, with a focus on electrification, renewables, and grid modernization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering; PE license.
• 12 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct development of analysis, evaluation, design, and processes for electric vehicle fleet adoption by clients.
• Provide electrification and renewable energy advisory and design support nationwide, including business modeling and program development.
• Educate internal leaders on new policies and funding opportunities for electrification.
• Lead qualitative and quantitative analysis, including financial modeling, cost-benefit analyses, and incentive evaluation.
• Champion R&D initiatives related to green/electrification/renewable energy.
• Lead cross-functional teams in complex strategic efforts.
• Be a seller and a doer, guiding clients in evolving mobility space.
• Collaborate across the firm to advance this discipline.
• Mentor technical staff across levels.
• Collaborate with researchers, vendors, and clients; present webinars and luminescence activities.
• Support TGAs related to power for data centers, clean energy and decarbonization.
