Job description

At Bloom Energy, we are seeking a Position Business title to join our team on a fully on‑site, in‑office role, 5 days a week, based in City, State. This role will report to Hiring Manager title.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Assist in system electrical layout
  • Specify improved electrical materials including wiring, connectors, PLCs, etc.
  • Create FRACAS (Failure Reporting and Cost Analysis System) entries as needed
  • Rework wiring harnesses as technical changes arise
  • Create wiring lists and convert to electrical drawings
  • Make technical changes to hardware layout and administer using the ECO process
  • Perform I/O testing on systems in order to ready for startup
  • Assist in system startup procedures
  • Bench test electrical devices such as power supplies, battery assemblies, and PCBs
  • Assist in troubleshooting gateway computers and ancillary hardware
  • Make recommendations for electrical layout improvements
  • Assist in monitoring system performance at subsystem level
Skills Required
  • Must be able to work from PID and wiring schematics
  • Must work well in a cross‑functional group setting
  • Must have experience using electrical handheld devices such as DVM and DMMs
  • Demonstrate electrical safety practices including Lock‑out‑tag‑out
Education and Experience

High school diploma with training certification. At least 7 years of related experience in assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools. Trained and hands‑on Lock‑out‑tag‑out. Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes. Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure safety. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical and controls issues in circuits containing transformers, disconnects, over‑current protection devices, and general control components (relays, timers, etc.). Follow directions and work with minimal supervision. Instrumentation includes pneumatic, electronic, and digital equipment. Conduct fault analysis of hard‑wired relay logic, motor control circuits, motor power circuits (120V to 480V 3‑phase), and common utility/lighting circuits. Install new control circuits and modify existing instrument/electrical systems. Design, load, and implement new control logic. Interpret schematic drawings (to component level) of pneumatic loops, hardware relay logic diagrams, PLC control programs, motor control circuit diagrams, etc. Maintain a clean and orderly work area and be able to lift 45lb. Work in a fast‑pace manufacturing environment and be flexible with changing shift or work schedule.
