Job summary

Bloom Energy is seeking an Industrial Electrical Technician to join our Newark, DE facility. This on-site role will involve routine maintenance, electrical and control system troubleshooting, and support for sensors, actuators, and motor controls in a manufacturing environment.

You will analyze schematics, assist in wiring/assembly and ensure safety and SOP compliance while contributing to continuous improvement and reliable power solutions.

Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of electrical or electronic technician experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in maintenance, equipment and industrial repair.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical and control systems.
  • Familiarity with electrical circuits, motor controls, and industrial automation.
  • Basic understanding of PLCs, low voltage controls, three phase power distribution, vision systems.
  • Electronic sensors, pneumatics, hydraulics and robotics.
  • Knowledge of MS Office suite.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Demonstrates competency in written and verbal English communications to understand safety protocols, hazard communications, and SOPs.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine Inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems associated with the manufacturing process.
  • Support the installation, calibration, and maintenance of sensors, actuators, and motor controls.
  • Analyze electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications.
  • Assist in assembly, testing, and troubleshooting electrical systems, PLC’s and control panels for manufacturing equipment.
  • Assist in documentation, including wiring diagrams, test reports, and standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards in all electrical and automation tasks.
  • Assist in test system startup procedures.
  • Make recommendations for electrical layout improvements.
  • Develop BOM’s and spare parts lists for critical systems and equipment.

We are looking for an Industrial Electrical Technician to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to Equipment Engineering Manager and based in Newark DE. This is a fully on-site, in office role.

Role and Responsibilities

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours per shift.
  • Occasionally lift/carry up to 25–50 lbs.
  • Use hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shift.
  • Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materials.
  • Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staff.
  • Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas (safety glasses, safety-toed boots).

Salary Ranges: $33.91 - $48.79
