Qualifications

• Two-year diploma in an electrician program or completion of a registered electrician apprenticeship program.
• Four full-time years of verified related paid work experience as a licensed electrician in residential and commercial.
• State of Minnesota Class A Journeyman Electrician License.
• Recency: one year of recent work within five years, or two years teaching experience in last five years.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality instruction preparing students for electrician careers in residential, commercial, and industrial settings.
• Develop and teach courses aligned with industry standards, including NEC, theory, and wiring methods.
• Maintain hands-on lab instruction and integrate emerging technologies.
• Engage with industry partners to ensure program relevance and workforce readiness.
• Contribute to curriculum development, student advising, and assessment of learning outcomes.
